How dnode Inc. handles personal information: what we collect, why, who sees it, and how to reach us. Last updated 24 September 2026.
dnode Inc. ("dnode", "we"), 30 Powerhouse St, Toronto, ON M6H 0C6. This policy covers dnode.ca and dnode.app; the league websites, streaming sites and apps we run for leagues; stats.dnode.app; the console leagues use to run their season; ticket sales; and the matches we film and stream. A league may have its own policy as well. Our Privacy Officer is responsible for this policy and can be reached at support@dnode.ca.
Leagues publish their season through dnode: fixtures, results, standings, and statistics for organizations, teams and players, including match events such as goals and cards. This comes from the league, entered in the console or sent by the league's scoring and broadcast systems, and the league chooses what is published: names, numbers, positions, statistics and, where the league provides one, a photo. Leagues are responsible for having the permission they need, including for players under 18. A league can hide any player's photo. To correct or remove information about you or your child, contact your league or write to us.
We film, stream and record matches for leagues. Anyone at a match, including players, coaches, officials and spectators, may appear in a live stream, a replay or highlights, and a player's name may be shown with them, for example when they score. Leagues are responsible for telling their players and families and for having the permission they need, especially for players under 18, and we ask them to post a notice at every venue we film. If you would rather not appear, tell the league or write to us. We cannot edit a stream while it is live, but we will do what we reasonably can in replays and highlights, such as removing a clip.
If a streaming site asks you to sign in, we keep your email address and your sign-in, made with a password or with Google, which then shares your name and email with us. If you buy a subscription, a pass or a single match, Stripe takes the payment and we keep what you bought and when, never your card number. We use this to give you access and to answer your questions.
We keep your email address, the name on your card, what you bought and when, and whether your ticket was used at the gate. The league that sold the ticket sees the same. Payment goes through Stripe to the league's own Stripe account; we never see or keep your card number. We email you only about your tickets: the tickets themselves, a change to the game, or a refund. We never add you to a marketing list.
If you add a ticket to Apple Wallet, your phone gives us an identifier for that pass and a notification token, so the ticket can update if the game changes. If you add it to Google Wallet, the ticket is stored in your Google account. Neither happens unless you tap the button.
The dnode apps show fixtures, results, statistics and streams. Match reminders in the Stats app are set on your phone, and we receive nothing when you set one. The apps contain no advertising and no analytics tracking.
League staff, club volunteers, scorers and gate volunteers: we keep your name, email address, a scrambled form of your password (never the password itself), when you sign in, and what you change. The console keeps you signed in with a cookie. We use no advertising cookies anywhere.
If you write to us through a form on dnode.ca, or sign up for our newsletter there, we receive what you type, such as your email address and your message, and use it only to answer you or to send the newsletter you asked for. You can ask us to stop the newsletter at any time. dnode.ca uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies, and its host's own statistics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. dnode.app counts visits without cookies.
Cloudflare hosts dnode, stores its data, sends our emails and counts page visits without cookies. Framer hosts dnode.ca and receives its forms, and Google Analytics measures visits to dnode.ca. Stripe handles payments. Google handles sign-in with Google and Google Wallet, and Apple handles Apple Wallet. Some of these providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it can be accessed by courts and authorities under local law. We do not sell or rent personal information.
Ticket orders and stream purchases: six years, the period Canadian law requires for tax and accounting records. Streaming and console accounts: until you or the league close them. Match video: for as long as the league keeps it in its archive, or until it is removed at the league's or your reasonable request. A season's fixtures, results and statistics stay published as the league's record unless the league removes them.
Every connection is encrypted, passwords are stored scrambled, the links that open tickets carry secret codes, and our people see only what their work needs. If a breach ever creates a real risk of significant harm, we will tell you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, as the law requires.
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where the law allows, or withdraw your consent, although we cannot deliver tickets or streams without the details they need. Write to support@dnode.ca and we will answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes, and we will say so on this page if the change matters.
